How is the rest of the Pretekin Pride? Any fears we had about how our four cats would do around the baby are now completely gone. All of the cats are very gentle around him and will lie down by him, but do not try to climb on him in any way. Linus is very much in love with baby Graham and will bring out his sad meow when the baby cries or when he is distressed about how Graham is doing. I was worried that a high pitched and loud baby cry would send all the cats over the edge, but they don't seem to mind and continue about their business when Graham does cry. Way to go fur babies!!

Life and Times of Graham

The Waiting Game
- finshing the nursery
- washing, folding, and putting awat all of the clothes, blankets, and other linens washed,
- writing thank yous
- addressing the baby announcements
- cleaning/picking up the house
- the house has been cleaned
- getting the laundry washed, folderd, ironed, and put away
Too bad ALL of these things have been done. Some of them for quite a while now. So, what's a girl to do with her extra time? Well, I decided that we would need dinner for after the baby was born. So I spent a bunch of time planning, shopping, and cooking freezable meals. I currently have four meals done, plus two boxed lasagnas and plans to add another creation of mine or two to the mix.
Our freezer isn't very big and is slowly running out of room with all of these casserole dishes stacking up. Hopefully Baby P will make his debut soon, or I will have to find a new project to take up my time (someone told me to just take the time to relax, but this is just not going to happen. Everytime I sit down to relax, the anticipation and anxiety start to drive me crazy. Better for me to stay busy at this point!)

38 Weeks!
My doctor's appointment today went well and everything looked good. I am dialated 1 cm (that's 1/2 cm more than last week) and 50% effaced (hasn't changed since last week). Nothing big, but we're definitely on our way. My doctor guessed that right now, Baby P is probably close to 7lbs. I had been a little concerned because I felt like Baby P wasn't moving as much these last couple of days. The doctor did an ultrasound and a non-stress test to check it out. Everything looked great and he told me that Baby P might just have moved into a position that was making it slightly more difficult for me to feel him. We'll see where we are at next week at our doctor's appointment or maybe we'll have a baby before then!
I also came home today to find this:
At least someone is enjoying the deluxe baby posturepedic for now, right?
