Happy Holidays!!

Graham has just finished up his first holiday season! At the beginning of December, we celebrated Hanukkah. We also had a few postponed Hanukkah celebrations throughout the month in order to wait for our close friends to come into town. Unfortunately, I have been neglecting my camera and did not take any pictures of our little man at these celebrations. Graham had a wonderful time and received some very cool gifts (clothes, toys for the car, and stuffed animals). Luckily my mom and dad are much better at remembering their camera and documented Graham's first Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Meeting Uncle Kyle for the first time.

Playing with Papa on Christmas Eve before our tradition of making homemade pizzas.

I'm such a handsome man! Look at my cute Christmas onesie!

Hanging out in the middle of Christmas dinner preparation.

The family opening presents. Graham napped through pretty much the entire afternoon and missed the present opening.

Slumber Parties & Smiles

Graham had quite the busy week! He had overnight stays with both sets of grandparents! On Thursday night, he stayed up in Evergreen with Grandma and Grandpa Dozeman while Michael and I got some work done (him for school and me for a class I have to take for work) and got some sleep. On Saturday night, he stayed with Cookie and Grandpa Pretekin while Michael and I went to the holiday party for his work and stayed overnight downtown. Graham had a great time both nights! On Thursday, my mom told me that she was pretty sure he was smiling on his own and it wasn't just gas anymore. On Friday, he smiled at me for the first time! Grandpa Pretekin captured his smile when he was there Saturday night.

Cookie's friends got her a Pack'n'Play and a swing to have at their house for Graham for her birthday at the end of November. And while he doesn't seem to go for the swing at our house, he loved it at theirs. I'm not sure why this is true, since we have the exact same swing, just with different stuff on it (ours is a lamb and the colors aren't as bright..maybe that's it).

G at the Gym

Lately we have noticed that Graham has become very alert and is constantly looking around at everything when he is awake. He loves the mobile in his crib and on his swing. I thought that he might enjoy one of those baby activity gyms - you know, the ones where they lay on a mat that has bars across it with toys attached. I thought he would really enjoy looking at all of toys, and was I ever right!
Here's a video of him enjoying his new gym. Feel free to ignore me talking in the background. Also ignore the spit-up he's sporting in his close-up at the end of the video. He had recently ate and is kind of a spitter.

One Month Old (almost)!

Graham is coming up on being one month old! While he is 4 weeks today, he will officially be one month on Sat. Dec. 4th!

Earlier this week we went for Graham's weight check, and I am happy to report that he now weighs 8 lbs. 11 oz. He is finally gaining weight! His pediatrician was very pleased, and he no longer needs to go back for regular weight checks. Keep up the good growing little guy!

Our family has been hit with colds this week. First Michael caught a terrible cold and cough. Then Graham got the bug. It's so sad to watch a little guy struggle with his breathing because he is congested and not be able to do a whole lot about it. We have found that he enjoys sleeping in his bouncy chair right now. It helps keep him upright and therefore, breathe better.

Graham's not the only one that likes to sleep in the bouncy chair...

Michael is on the mend now, and Graham seems to not be far behind. While I am not feeling 100%, I am no where near as sick as my boys were. Hopefully it will stay that way! Let's hope that December is a healthy month for the Pretekin's!
